Wardrobe Tips For Model Portfolios

Wardrobe Tips For Model Portfolios

Have fun at the shoot and be yourself. Many times the best pictures are when the model is doing something natural. Keep loose and moving while the photographer shoots you.**Be careful not to bring all of the same color of clothes.
**A good choice for a beach look is a long skirt with a bathing suit top, necklaces, a great belt, and sandals. Bathing suits are best in solid colors.
**A good choice for a casual look is low-slung jeans and a t-shirt with flip flops.
**A great way to get ideas for a shoot is to look in fashion magazines. Look at the editorial stories in the back not the ads. Try to copy some of the wardrobe. Also, look at what the models are doing and how "natural" they look.
**You are trying to impress the agents with your photos and part of that is the clothing you are photographed in. So, put a lot of thought into what you bring to the shoot.
**NO clothes that have attached accessories.
**NO pageant wear.
**NO fluorescent colors.
**Bring the appropriate undergarments in skin tones.
**Everything you bring needs to be clean and wrinkle free.
**What works for everyday may not necessarily carry over well in a photo.
**Try on clothes at home in front of a mirror and only bring clothes that fit to show off the best you can be.
